RJR - Super Users, Planview, Naming Stds

Busy all day at work. Inserted final slides in deck for presentation at Super User Meeting. Jack Patton had sent his deck for Procurement last night. I loaded onto my flash drive and onto the loaner laptop in the event I could not reach my files from the Plaza Auditorium podium. Arrived in the auditorium around 10:30a for setup for the 11:00a meeting. Meeting went really well and lasted the full hour as planned. Gave out remaining Voyager shirts, and also invited the group to the storage room to pick out Voyager training manuals for their use - extras we needed to give out to clear the room for other purposes.

Had first 2-hr session of Planview Power User training with Agustin and Ed. Session went very well and I now understand some key elements of Planview better than before. Our focus today was on interfaces, work requests and reporting, and portfolios. Our next session will be Friday where we plan to go tab-by-tab.

Met with Bill Noble, Diana, Rao, Keshav, and Sheila to discuss naming standards within the COE for technical related documents. Agreed to 1) store documents within project-named folders, 2) maintain Voyager ID naming structure, i.e., DE001.01, and 3) assign new numbers in groups for new projects where applicable - certainly so for the APO project and duty drawback. Once the project is ready for implementation (or just after), we plan to migrate copies of documents necessary for maintenance to the on-going COE folders. Whether we use the new COE Sharepoint site or continue with the existing Project Voyager Sharepoint site is a matter for later discussion.
